ACC Physiotherapy Services Contract Redesign

PNZ is excited by the recently announced ACC Physiotherapy Services Contract redesign and the impact this has for our members working under the ACC contract.

Our members on the Expert Reference Group (ERG) have provided clinical guidance on the development of these changes and we would like to acknowledge the hard work of this group in advocating for our profession. For those interested, the purpose and members of the ERG featured in Physio Matters November 2017.

Please be aware that ACC changed their website in April 2019, meaning some links to their website may not work. While these are being addressed, most information is available at acc.co.nz in the Resources section under the category of Health Providers and subcategories of Service Schedules, Operational Guidelines or Position Statements. Alternatively please try the category of Contracts and subcategory Physiotherapy.

Updates and Feedback

We are committed to continuing to work with ACC on the contract redesign and treatment regulations. Future updates will be posted on the PNZ website as they become available. ACC will also keep our members directly informed on the contract redesign through features in Physio Matters.

For questions or ideas on the changes please contact physiocontract@acc.co.nz, or if you’re interested in a contract please email health.procurement@acc.co.nz.
