Myofascial Release - The Fundamentals

About this event

Myofascial Release - The Fundamentals

Myofascial Release is a highly effective technique that creates powerful change in the body. Sink into the body superficial to deep, learning techniques that allow you to work with less effort and gain better outcomes.

Explore working superficially to shift protection patterns, change memory in the tissue, enhance lymph movement and encourage blood and nerve flow. Delve deeper into the myofascia to effect specific muscles, as well as separate muscle groups to create space in the body, change structure, increase ROM, realign posture and enhance muscle functioning.

In The Fundamentals course you will learn about the anatomy & physiology of fascia, why it dysfunctions and how it has an influence on everything in the body, including controlling the muscle's length and function. The muscles covered in the course are:

  • Head & Neck – Temporalis, masseter, frontalis, occipitalis, the occipital ridge, the face, the scalp, platysma, sternocleidomastoid, splenius cervicis and splenius capitus.
  • The Shoulders – Latissimus dorsi, trapezius, rhomboids, levator scapula, deltoids, pectoralis major and subclavius.
  • Trunk & Hips – erector spinae, gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, gluteus minimus, rectus abdominis, external obliques, internal obliques and transverse abdominis.

Additional muscles are covered in the two advanced courses - Advanced Upper Body & Advanced Lower Body. The Fundamentals is a prerequisite for the advanced courses. These courses are also taught throughout the country and can be found on Beth's website.

The Fundamentals is a 2 day course (typically taught on a Friday & Saturday) with the days running from 9am to 5pm. The course counts for 14 CPDs.
