Fixed-term position - Parental leave
The Ministry of Education Wellington Region Learning Support team provides a friendly and supportive working environment.
Physiotherapists in learning support work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with students, their families, educators, schools and community agencies to provide a range of assessments and interventions to meet the physical needs of children and young people in educational settings.
An opportunity exists for a Physiotherapist to join our team based either in the Porirua or Lower Hutt office with options of either three days a week or a full-time position being possibilities. The appointee will provide services across the Wellington City and Porirua areas. The position is from November 2019 until November 2020 to cover a period of parental leave.
Knowledge of working in a culturally responsive way is required given our commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
Successful Physiotherapist candidates will have:
- a degree in Physiotherapy or. equivalent
- the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board registration
- a current annual Practicing Certificate
- a full New Zealand driver's licence as travel is a requirement of the role.
