We are looking for experienced physiotherapists with a musculoskeletal background to transform patient care in our busy emergency department (ED) at Whakatane hospital. As the first point of care for musculoskeletal patients in ED, you will demonstrate excellent assessment, triage, clinical reasoning and strong clinical decision making skills to provide evidence-based and patient-focussed interventions.
The successful candidates will have at least 5 years' postgraduate experience in musculoskeletal and/or orthopaedics in either public or private sectors. You will develop and implement a new and cutting edge service for acute musculoskeletal patients who present to ED. You will have experience providing professional and clinical supervision and have been involved in quality improvement and service development initiatives. The successful candidates will, alongside colleagues, provide a comprehensive and flexible 12 hours per day, 7 day service.
