2020 PNZ Annual General Meeting (AGM)

PNZ Executive and President Vote
In 2020 there was one PNZ Executive vacancy to be filled as well as the position of PNZ President. A call for nominations opened on 16 July and closed on 24 August 2020. With nominations exceeding the number of vacancies a vote occurred by electronic ballot as defined in the PNZ Rules. Run by electionz.com voting for the PNZ Executive and President opened on 9 October and closed on 27 October 2020.
PNZ President nominees were Grant Chittock and Ben Hinchcliff. PNZ Executive nominees were Kelly Davison, Tara Martin, Sarah Mitchell, Mark Quinn and Derek Timmins. Ben Hinchcliff was announced as the PNZ President and Kelly Davison as a new PNZ Executive member at the 2020 PNZ AGM.
PNZ Awards
Having been nominated prior to the AGM and agreed by the PNZ Executive on 16 October, two PNZ awards were announced at the 2020 PNZ AGM on 6 November. Congratulations to Life Member Dennis Shepherd and Honorary Fellow Member Professor Peter McNair, who join an esteemed group of award recipients. Thank you both for your contribution to PNZ and the physiotherapy profession.

Nominations for PNZ Life Members and Honorary Fellow Members closed on 24 August 2020. The submission of items for the 2020 PNZ AGM Agenda / Notices of Motion closed on 7 October 2020.
As identified in the PNZ Rules, an item of business is included on the AGM agenda if the PNZ Executive requires an item to be included or if PNZ receives not less than 30 days before the date of the AGM a notice of an item signed by not less than 15% of the Members eligible to vote. Notices must be received by email pnz@physiotherapy.org.nz not less than 30 days before the date of the AGM. The date of the AGM is Friday 6 November 2020.
