Cardiothoracic Special Interest Group (CTSIG)

We are a special interest group of Physiotherapy New Zealand (PNZ), and represent cardiorespiratory interests among the physiotherapy profession.

Committee roles are held by enthusiastic clinicians elected at an AGM by membership. The committee members all work in the cardiorespiratory field either as clinicians, in education or in research in a full-time or part-time capacity. Most juggle family/study/work commitments and are dedicated to increasing the cardiorespiratory profile within New Zealand and representing your voice both nationally and internationally.

We volunteer our time to review information from PNZ, provide opportunity for ongoing education, and answer day-to-day queries of a cardiorespiratory nature. We send information to our members via email and made available for reference on the members's only page. There is a structured yearly plan and our objectives are measured using key performance indicators.
