The TBI Health Whangārei team has a unique position for a recently graduated physiotherapist or a physiotherapist in their 4th year to start on graduation!
We work with a large range of funders nationwide and provide a wide variety of rehabilitation services. This is an exciting and varied role with the opportunity to work across those different services, including Medfees, ACC/Private work, Early Intervention. If you’re a sports enthusiast then there is a future development prospect to be part of a sports injury clinic, working alongside specialists and senior clinicians in the field.
In this role, you will be supported by senior physiotherapists and report to the Whangārei clinic manager. You will also be able to connect and work closely with our clinical team members and gain a wealth of experience and knowledge.
The role will include:
- Plan, implement, evaluate, and progress physiotherapy care.
- Monitor the progress of patients and report progress to appropriate MDT staff to facilitate discharge planning.
- Refer appropriate patients to other internal or external healthcare providers for ongoing care after discharge if required.
- Provide accurate clinical assessments and education to clinic patients.
- Play an active role in the review and management of patients within TBI Health’s pain management programme.
- Actively participate in the development and instigation of treatment protocols.

About you

This position has been designed for a new graduate physiotherapist and is a great way to gain experience in a wide range of clinical areas with extensive orientation, training, and support.

- Comfortable with Te Ao Māori, Te Reo Māori preferred but not required.
- A current practicing certificate to work in New Zealand, Full Professional Body Membership, Full Indemnity Insurance
- Current full clean driver’s license
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy
About the Whangārei team
Join our close-knit, fun, and laidback team at Whangārei Clinic who are extremely passionate about healthcare! Our clinic has a brand-new location and new gym and is within easy walking distance to cafes and Okara shopping centre, and parking.
Our clinic was established in March 2022 to give the Whangārei community a multi-disciplinary team and excellent service in rehabilitation, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our rapidly growing team.
