PainTRAINER goes live!

The Centre for Health Exercise and Sports Medicine at the University of Melbourne have recently developed an online programme for people with persistent pain.

It is based on a face to face pain coping skills programme developed by researchers in the United States of America. Physiotherapists can use this electronic programme with their patients to provide pain education and pain coping skills. The programme is FREE to use.

The resource is for patients’ with persistent pain caused by a variety of conditions, and is based on a cognitive therapy approach. It is designed to complement therapy sessions and is completed by patients independently at home. It is presented through audio, text, animations and interactive activities to make the programme engaging.
